The CESB Secretariat is currently headed by Executive Director Maria Marcy Cosare-Ballesteros. She is assisted by Atty. Julius P. Alegrado, Director III, overseeing Policy, Planning and Legal, and Eligibility and Rank Appointment Service; and Erick Jan R. Macapagal, Director III, overseeing Performance Management and Professional Development service.
There are five (5) operating and support divisions at the CESB which are tasked to handle specific program areas. These are the following:
Eligibility and Rank Appointment Division
Administration of the Four (4)-stage CES Eligibility Process
Processing of Appointment to CES Rank
Professional Development Division
Formulation of Career Development Standards and conduct of Competency-Based Core Trainings
Performance Management and Assistance Division
Management of performance management system for CES incumbents, dissemination of CES policies, programs and projects
Policy, Planning and Legal Division
Formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies, regulations, rulings or legal opinions on the CES
Finance and Administrative Division
Coordination of support services for the above said operating divisions concerning financial management and personnel administration
