DepEd Davao City Holds 2nd ComPASSION Project Outdoors for Government Employees
The 6.9 Magnitude earthquake that hit Davao del Sur last 15 December 2019 did not prevent the members of the Department of Education Schools Division Office of Davao City, headed by the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO V and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Emma A. Camporedondo, a CES Eligible, from holding their Community Passion Project attended by over 100 participants dubbed as “Pamilyang DepEd, Pamilyang Alaga” outdoors last Dec. 23, 2019, at their Office in Quirino Ave, Davao City.
This is the second ComPASSION Project organized by DepEd Davao City in coordination with the Career Executive Service Board in commemoration of its 46th Founding Anniversary. In this project, they chose their own employees along with their families as their target beneficiaries as a way of giving back for all their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the year.
The organizers made sure that the children are safe as they conducted the event outdoors, in a safe area in case of unexpected tremors due to the recent earthquake in the region.
Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Emma A. Camporedondo, a CES Eligible, reminds the children to stay calm and to enjoy the gift-giving event amidst the occasional tremor in the area.
